Commercial Auto Insurance
A commercial automobile insurance policy is required under most circumstances when the vehicle is used for business purposes and meets certain other requirements. It is not just the registration that determines the requirement for a business automobile insurance policy. Other requirements are ownership by a corporation, use in hauling goods for hire, and gross vehicle weight of the vehicle. Some small trucks can be owned and insured under a personal automobile insurance policy under specific circumstances.
Commercial automobile insurance policies are not regulated in pricing, as are private passenger policies. There is price competition between insurance companies for good commercial automobile insurance.
For many small business owners, figuring out what coverage you need for the autos you own and operate is a challenge; after all, you are trying to run a business.
Did you know? Nearly six million traffic accidents occur every year, or more than 16,000 per day. With accidents occurring so frequently, make sure you have auto insurance from a company that will be there for you during a claim.
Business auto insurance can help you insure your work cars, SUVs and Pickup Trucks with the similar features that our personal insurance customers enjoy. Insure You can insure commercial vans and trailers with coverages customized to your exact business needs. We can also help you with all sizes of commercial trucks. You can also get specialized coverages including On-Hook Towing and service center legal liability insurance. Get Dump Truck insurance with coverages such as physical damage and motor carrier insurance.
Whether you use your own car or a fleet of pickups or box trucks to get the job done, we can give you the protection you need - including liability, personal injury/medical coverage, comprehensive, collision coverages, and much more to help you keep your business moving forward.
At Bennett Insurance Group we can sit down with you and help you determine what deductible amounts and coverage limits best cover the vehicles you use in your business.

Bennett Insurance Group Presents: Desert Caballeros Western Museum
The Desert Caballeros Western Museum, a private non-profit institution, was founded in 1960. The first president of the Society was H. K. "Mac" MacLennan, former superintendent of schools, a position he held for 30 years. The purpose of the Museum was and still is "To collect and preserve the history, learning, lore and mementos incident to the development of Wickenburg and the Arizona Territory."
The Museum did not officially open to the public until May 8,1969, after what was said to be 20 years of planning. Housed in the building that had once been Brayton's Commercial Company, a general store built in 1906, the property was donated by W. S. "Sky" Thurber. The first curator was Orpha Baker, who was responsible for creating many of the dioramas and models and fashioned extensive artwork dealing with the early Indian culture.
The Museum prospered for several years until a tragic fire consumed the entire building on December 21,1972. Hundreds of items were lost, all of which were irreplaceable. But with typical Wickenburg enthusiasm, a capital campaign was almost immediately underway and a new museum was built.
Built on the same site as the former Brayton's Commercial Co., the new museum, designed by architect Harry Van Hoven, was built at a cost of $319,000 and could boast of over 14,000 square feet. Governor Raul Castro led a parade for the Museum's dedication in December 1975 which hundreds of people attended. The parade was formed under the direction of Hal Braman and was headed by a horseback color guard of Desert Caballeros riders, followed by an antique car with the governor and his wife. Miss Gold Nugget, Cindy Voehl, and attendant Tammy Brown,
In the fall of 1985 the Museum board and staff embarked on a three-year expansion project. Phase I began in September when the Eleanor Blossom Memorial Library was added, along with new offices, increased work space for volunteers, and renovation of the gift shop. The architect was Reed Settle of Prescott. This phase was completed in April 1986.
Park and Sculpture
In July 1987, plans were unveiled for a museum park, which would replace the closed service station on the corner of Tegner and Wickenburg Way. Groundbreaking took place on April 11,1988. The official dedication of the park was November 26,1988. Local dignitaries attended this special ceremony and remarks were given by Governor Rose Mofford and Eddie Basha. The park, built to honor Museum Volunteers, features low-water desert plantings and a nine-foot bronze sculpture “Thanks for the Rain” by Arizona artist Joe Beeler..
Location: 21 N. Frontier Street Wickenburg, AZ 85390 928-684-2272

Insurance Vocabulary Part Three
Here is part three of our insurance term education. These terms are commonly used. Understanding their definitions can help you understand your insurance options.
Activities of Daily Living - Bathing, preparing and eating meals, moving from room to room, getting into and out of beds or chairs, dressing, using a toilet.
Admitted Assets - Assets permitted by state law to be included in an insurance company's annual statement. These assets are an important factor when regulators measure insurance company solvency. They include mortgages, stocks, bonds and real estate.
Arbitration - A form of alternative dispute resolution, is a technique for the resolution of disputes outside the courts, where the parties to a dispute refer it to one or more persons. the "arbitrators", by whose decision they agree to be bound. It is a resolution technique in which a third party reviews the evidence in the case and imposes a decision that is legally binding for both sides and enforceable.
Case Management - A system of coordinating medical services to treat a patient, improve care and reduce cost. A case manager coordinates health care delivery for patients.
Common Carrier - A business or agency that is available to the public for transportation of persons, goods or messages. Common carriers include trucking companies, bus lines and airlines.
Elimination Period - The time which must pass after filing a claim before policyholder can collect insurance benefits. Also known as "waiting period."
Encumbrance - A claim on property, such as a mortgage, a lien for work and materials, or a right of dower. The interest of the property owner is reduced by the amount of the encumbrance.
Guaranteed Renewable - A policy provision in many products which guarantees the policyowner the right to renew coverage at every policy anniversary date. The company does not have the right to cancel coverage except for nonpayment of premiums by the policyowner; however, the company can raise rates if they choose.
Hazardous Activity - Bungee jumping, scuba diving, horse riding and other activities not generally covered by standard insurance policies. For insurers that do provide cover for such activities, it is unlikely they will cover liability and personal accident, which should be provided by the company hosting the activity.
Indemnity - Restoration to the victim of a loss by payment, repair or replacement.

General Liability Insurance
Normally, it is difficult for businesses or general contractors to work without general insurance. General liability insurance is intended to guard operators and owners of companies from claims that may come from a broad spectrum of sources. These exposures could be just about anything, including liability engendered by accidents from the operations of the insured party, contractual liability, products manufactured by the insured party, etc.
Liability insurance is a part of the general insurance system of risk financing to protect the purchaser (the "insured") from the risks of liabilities imposed by lawsuits and similar claims. It protects the insured in the event he or she is sued for claims that come within the coverage of the insurance policy. Originally, individuals or companies that faced a common peril, formed a group and created a self-help fund out of which to pay compensation should any member incur loss (in other words, a mutual insurance arrangement).
The modern system relies on dedicated carriers, usually for-profit, to offer protection against specified perils in consideration of a premium. Liability insurance is designed to offer specific protection against third party insurance claims, i.e., payment is not typically made to the insured, but rather to someone suffering loss who is not a party to the insurance contract. In general, damage caused intentionally as well as contractual liability are not covered under liability insurance policies. When a claim is made, the insurance carrier has the duty (and right) to defend the insured. The legal costs of a defense normally do not affect policy limits unless the policy expressly states otherwise; this default rule is useful because defense costs tend to soar when cases go to trial.
The liability you select, whether it is one, two, or three million dollars, determines the cost of general liability insurance. Also factored into the rates are the kind of work undertaken, gross receipts and total payroll expenses. Similar to auto insurance, when it comes to general liability insurance, you will first have to make a down payment and then follow it up with installments. Before buying general liability insurance, it is best to compare the quotes available in the market.
It is the business owner's or general contractor’s job to make sure that the people working under him/her are covered by an insurance policy. If for example, a person who is not a part of the project gets injured, the injured person’s lawyer can target just about anyone involved in the project. The more individuals that are involved, the greater the chances of a successful lawsuit.

Insurance Buying Tips
In today’s world, you can buy insurance through a professional middle man/woman (agent or broker), or by calling a toll-free number or going online. Is there a difference in the service or coverage you get with the different choices. Insurance is one area that can be very dangerous to do with out the advice of a good agent or broker working for your best interests.
There are different kinds of agents. Some are “captive” which means they can only offer you one insurance company’s products. Other companies use “independent” agents and brokers to sell their products. Independent agents or also called brokers can offer you a wider range of options.
If you’re buying life, long term care or disability insurance, or if you’re insuring a home, business, or anything that’s unique – you’re generally better off finding a good agent or broker to advise you and help you find the right coverage. For more information on properly insuring a home, visit the Buying Tips library.
Ask co-workers. Ask friends. Asking a perfect stranger is better than relying on ads or the yellow pages. People tend to refer people with whom they have had a positive experience. Ask what their experience was in dealing with the agent or broker. Was s/he responsive; was s/he able to answer questions clearly? If the person had to file a claim, was the agent or broker helpful?
Facebook and other social media tools can help you gauge good service and quality businesses. These sites can be helpful, but a face-to-face with an agent or broker is one of the best ways of figuring out if they will take good care of you.
A good agent or broker will be familiar with the products they’re selling and explain ways you can tailor your coverage to your specific needs, maximize protection and minimize cost. For example, a good agent will suggest ways you can adjust your coverage to take advantage of discounts (or credits) that insurers give for packaged policies.
If you have a unique situation or your property or business is considered high risk – you’ll want to find an agent or broker who has the expertise and connections to help you.
